Artist Statement
My work is rooted in geometry, rhythm and the way we experience space.
I have always been drawn to structure. Not as something fixed or rigid, but as a framework for movement, energy and intuition. My work is built through layers, intersecting forms and shifting compositions that evolve and challenges the viewer over time.
Although the works appear geometric, everything is painted freehand. I want the human presence, the slight irregularities and the physical process to remain visible within the structure.
Architecture, urban environments, music and graffiti culture have all shaped the way I see and compose. I grew up with graffiti during the 1980s, where rhythm, balance, surface and movement became an instinctive way of seeing space. Later, years spent in Brooklyn working as a music producer and songwriter deepened my understanding of composition, repetition and pacing, elements that still influence the way I build a painting today.
I am interested in creating works that feel both structured and alive. Paintings that offer clarity from a distance, yet reveal complexity, movement and human presence the closer you get.
Ultimately, my work is about finding balance between control and spontaneity.
